PIC source codes by PE1RRT
|
 |
|
Over time Marc, PE1RRT, has designed and build numerous circuits
based on the PIC micro controller from Microchip. For most of these
designs he also wrote the software for the controlers as well.
A number of his designs have been published in magazines, such
as Electron (a VERON publication). If you want to
program PIC micro controllers yourself, the source codes below
may well serve as a good starting point.
Good luck,
Marc, PE1RRT

Driving an LCD display with just 3 wires
|
 |
|
I most designs, as LCD display will be driven by the micro controller
through some kind of parallel bus. This means that at least 8 lines
are needed (plus strobe) to drive the display. PIC controllers do
have 8 lines available, but you might want to reserve some lines for
other purposes.

Publications in Electron (VERON)
|
 |
|
Over the years, Marc has published many articles in Electron,
the monthly magazine of the VERON. In some of his
publications, the use of PIC micro controllers is discussed.
Below an overview of these publications.

Using MPLAB 83K PDF file
|
|
In this publication from January 2001, the use of the MPLAB
development environment is dicussed. MPLAB allows you to
develop software and program PIC contollers. A simple program
is described that allows you to flash a LED.
